Ooni of Ife who is currently in Brazil yesterday Thursday June 14th visited the sculpture of Oduduwa popularly known as Ori Olokun – the typical Yoruba symbol all over the world.
It happened that many centuries ago, the image of Oduduwa appeared to the Afro-Brazilians to conquer the slave masters in very strange and mysterious ways and nobody could see the image fighting them. Ever since they named the statue Zombie who came to rescue them from slavery.
The statue is located right in the midst of one of the busiest highways where they normally host Cbana, the biggest carnival in the world every February. Pictures below:
